WOLFF Onsite offer self evacuation course. The aim is to provide practical experience and education in the safe use of relevant equipment, to enable a safe self evacuation and evacuation of a colleague in the event of an emergency.

Audience:
All Operators of man riding mechanical handling equipment.

Course length: 1 day
Instructor to student ratio: 1:6 maximum

Throughout the course, the student will be continually assessed and expected to complete a written and practical examination.

Only on successful completion of the whole course will the candidate be issued with a certificate of competency.

The course is designed and delivered using BS8454 (code of practice for the delivery of training and education for work at height and rescue), IRATA international code of practice and equipment manufacturers technical instruction.

Once completed and receive certificate of competency, it will be valid for 1 year.

  • Practical low level self-evacuation - abseil
  • Practical high level self-evacuation - abseil
  • Converting system from abseil to lower
  • Practical low-level evacuation - lowering
  • Practical high-level evacuation - lowering
  • Protection of evacuees from below
