5. SSL or TLS encryption

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line. When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties (end-to-end encryption). The protocols authenticate the communication partner and ensure the integrity of the transmitted data.

6. Cookies

In addition to the data mentioned above, cookies are used on your computer when you use and visit our website.

Cookies are small text files that are stored by your browser on your end device to save certain information. Furthermore, these cookies are used to make the use of our website more pleasant and convenient for you or for analytical purposes.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called "session cookies". They are used to make the services of our website technically available to you. After your visit, these cookies are automatically deleted by your browser.

Other cookies remain on your computer and enable us to recognise your end device on your next visit (so-called persistent or permanent cookies).

The next time you visit our website with the same end device, the information stored in cookies is read either by our website ("first party cookie") or by another website to which the cookie belongs ("third party cookie").

These cookies are automatically deleted from your system after a preset period of time, which differs depending on the cookie.

Through the stored and returned information, the respective website recognises that you have already accessed and visited it with the browser of your end device.

We use this information to optimise the design and display of the website according to your preferences. Only the cookie itself is identified on your end device.

Any further storage of personal data will only take place with your express consent or if this is absolutely necessary in order to be able to use the service offered and called up by you accordingly.

The legal basis for this use is our legitimate interest.
  2. Marketing/tracking cookies
These cookies are used to collect information about the websites visited by the user, to create targeted and more effective advertising for the user and to enable us to identify the interests of website visitors to make our website even more interesting in the future.
Marketing and/or tracking cookies are only set with your active consent. The legal basis for data processing here is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke this consent to cookies at any time with effect for the future.

    Opt-out of marketing cookies
You can also manage cookies used for online advertising via the tools developed in many countries as part of self-regulatory programmes, such as the US-based https://www.aboutads.info/choices/  or the EU-based https://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices.

You can use your web browser to delete stored cookies at any time. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

7. Contact Options (Contact Forms/E-mail)

You can contact us on our website using the contact form or by e-mail.

In this context, your details from the corresponding form or from the e-mail, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored and processed by us to process the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. The data may be stored as part of customer relations management (CRM) if you are already a customer of our company.

In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the enquiries addressed to us.

For this purpose, we accept digital applications, regardless of whether you are applying for a position advertised by us or whether it is an unsolicited application. We offer you the opportunity to register for seminars on our website.

The following personal data is processed as part of a seminar booking or enquiry for the participant, any other invoice recipients or other third parties:

This data is processed for contract fulfilment or to implement pre-contractual measures at the request of the data subject.

11. Matomo

Our website uses "Matomo", a web analysis service provided by InnoCraft Ltd, 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand.

We use Matomo to analyse the use of our website and individual functions and offers to continuously improve the user experience. By statistically evaluating user behaviour, we improve our offer and make it more interesting for visitors.

Matomo stores cookies on your end device that enable your use of our website to be analysed.

The information collected in this way is stored exclusively on our server, namely the following data:

  1. two bytes of the IP address of the user's calling system
  2. the website called up
  3. the website from which the user accessed the website (referrer)
  4. the subpages that are accessed from the accessed website
  5. the time spent on the website
  6. the frequency of visits to the website

Our website uses Matomo with the setting "Anonymise Visitors' IP addresses". This means that IP addresses are further processed in abbreviated form, thus excluding the possibility of direct personal references. The software is set so that the IP addresses are not stored in full, but 2 bytes of the IP address are masked (e.g. 192.168.xxx.xxx). In this way, it is no longer possible to assign the truncated IP address to the calling computer. The IP address transmitted by your browser via Matomo is not merged with other data collected by us.

The data of the processing described here will be deleted after a storage period of 30 days.

The legal basis for the processing of the user's data is their consent.

You can prevent the analysis by deleting existing cookies and deactivating the storage of cookies in the settings of your web browser. We would like to point out that in this case, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent.

Further information on data protection can be found in the privacy policy at: matomo.org/privacy-policy/

You have the option of preventing the actions you take here from being analysed and linked. This will not only protect your privacy but will also prevent the owner from learning about your actions and improving usability for you and other users.

[   ] Your visit to this website is currently being recorded by Matomo web analytics. Deselect this checkbox to opt-out.

12. Information on Google services

We use various services of Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland on our website.

As a result, Google may receive information from you. It cannot be ruled out that Google will also transmit the information to a server in a third country.

We have concluded an order processing agreement with Google for the transfer of personal data. If data is transferred to third countries in which an adequate level of data protection cannot be guaranteed, we have concluded EU standard data protection clauses with Google in accordance with Art. 46 GDPR.

Google has undertaken to comply with the standard contractual clauses for the transfer of personal data to third countries in accordance with Directive 95/46/EC (Standard Contractual Clauses - SCC).

You can find more information on this at:

https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks?hl=en

We cannot influence what data Google collects and processes. Google states that the following information (including personal data) may be processed:

  1. Log data (the IP address)
  2. Location-related information
  3. Unique application numbers

If you are logged into your Google account, Google may link the processed information to your account depending on your account settings. You can find further information on this from Google at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en-GB

You can prevent this by logging out of your Google account or by making the appropriate account settings in your Google account. Furthermore, you can prevent the installation of cookies - if Google sets any - by making the appropriate settings in your browser; however, we would like to point out that in this case, you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.

Google Maps is integrated on the website via the Google API to visualise location information and display it in the form of a map. The files required for this purpose are requested via the Google domains maps.googleapis.com, maps.gstatic.com, fonts.googleapis.com and/or fonts.gstatic.com.

Gstatic is a domain used by Google to load static content into a different domain name to reduce bandwidth usage and increase network performance for the end user.

For the display of the map, the processing of the IP address by Google Maps is technically necessary. Regarding the other web services integrated via Google APIs, the regulations in the respective section of this data protection declaration for Google APIs apply.

By visiting the website, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. In addition, the following information will be transmitted:

  • the IP address,
  • Date and time of the enquiry,
  • Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT),

  • Type and version of the operating system and the interface used.

This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

The transmission takes place regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly assigned to your account. If you do not wish this assignment with your Google profile, you must log out of your Google profile before using our website. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for advertising, market research and/or customising its website. Such evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide customised advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, and you must contact Google to exercise this right.

You can prevent Google from collecting and processing personal data (especially your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by deactivating the execution of script code in your browser, installing a script blocker in your browser or activating the "Do Not Track" setting in your browser. You can find Google's security and data protection principles at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en-GB

For more information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by the plug-in provider can be found in the provider's privacy policy. You will also find further information on your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en-GB&gl=de.

We have entered a joint processing agreement with Google about Google Maps. You can find the content at https://privacy.google.com/intl/de/businesses/mapscontrollerterms/.

The transfer of data to the USA is based on your consent.

You can revoke the consent given for data processing at any time with effect for the future. To do so, delete the cookies in your browser or use the link to manage your consent, which you can find in the "Cookies" section of this privacy policy. Revoking your consent does not affect the lawfulness of the data processing carried out until the revocation.

If you are logged in to YouTube during your visit to our website, the information transmitted will be assigned to your YouTube member account. You can prevent this by logging out of your member account before visiting our website.

When you call up a page with a video embedded from YouTube, a connection is established to the YouTube servers to display the content (i.e. the video) on our site by sending a message to your browser.
