Five WOLFF cranes in 24/7 operation for a business campus in Riyadh

28.04.2026 | Communiqué de presse

Riyadh – January 2026. Constructed on commission by project developer Mawan Real Estate, Prime Business Resort in Riyadh is a spacious business campus with offices, public areas, and ample, green spaces. For the construction work that began in 12 - 2024, that means four trades that run in parallel and a tightly synchronized construction process. Framework conditions where the availability and reliability of the five utilized Wolff cranes play a crucial role.

A high concentration of simultaneous work flows, particularly in concrete and steel construction, characterize this construction site. To ensure a smooth deployment, a total of five WOLFF tower cranes are used: A WOLFF 6015 Clear and four WOLFF 7532 Cross cranes. These cranes were assembled in December 2024 in roughly ten days. Due to the ongoing concrete work, only very limited time windows of a few hours were available every day for assembly to avoid affecting the construction operations.

Reliability in continuous use

Since then, the cranes have been in operation literally around the clock. They only have an average outage time of roughly 1.5 hours per crane and month. This high availability is made possible by a dedicated, on-site Wolffkran service team, clearly structured maintenance processes that take place during phases of decreased construction site activity, and local spare parts management where the team can respond faster to outages.

The cranes handle key tasks such as concrete pouring, transporting steel elements, or moving construction machinery such as roughly four tones of heavy wheel loaders. Since the Wolff cranes cover several overlapping work areas, they are all equipped with an anti-collision system.

The main construction phase of the project is nearly finished now, and the cranes will be disassembled in the coming weeks. Under complex construction site conditions, this project demonstrates that stable ongoing operations and a high level of technical availability are particularly crucial for making progress in construction – characteristics that WOLFF cranes reliably deliver even under high load.
